Welcome to Streamline Springers

Breeders of Champion English Springer Spaniels

Streamline Kennels was founded and operated by Jeff & Renee Holt.  We obtained our first show springer almost by accident.  Renee had called Andrea Glassford, founder of the prestigious  Jester kennel, in January 1991.  After a long conversation, Andrea sent us a beautiful springer puppy that we named Jester’s Tennessee Ernie.  Ernie won his first time in the ring and we were hooked.  Ch. Jester’s Tennessee Ernie, CD, CGC was our first champion.

Rob Sataloe and Jeff Burgin, of Birchwood Kennels, served as mentors during the first years of showing.  We obtained our foundation bitch from Birchwood.  Ch. Birchwood’s Garden Menagerie, CGC (“Minnie”) was born the day her father, the great Ch. Salilyn’s Condor, won Best In Show at Westminster in February 1993.

Many others have helped us along the way, most notably Janice Johnson of Wil-Orion springers.

From this great start, we have bred or co-bred many champions, a few obedience and agility title holders, ESSFTA National Award Winners, specialty show winners, and Best In Show winners.

Three English Springer Spaniel kennels (Essex, Equinox and Maxwell) obtained their foundation bitches from us.  Each of these kennels has produced champions of their own.

We have a very limited breeding program, striving improve the breed each time.  Temperament, health and conformation to the AKC breed standard are our primary goals with each litter.

We are members in good standing of the ESSFTA and the CESSCGA and adhere strictly to the ESSFTA’s Guidelines for Responsible Breeders of English Springer Spaniels.
