Golf Tournament
Our twenty-third annual scholarship golf tournament, held at the beautiful Sewanee Golf and Tennis Club on May 22 was a success, and all involved had a good time.
Last year, from our Golf Tournament Fund, we awarded scholarships to Deidre Andrews to attend the Tennessee Technical Center in Shelbyville to study in the Nursing program, and to Lacy Fultz to start her college career at Tennessee Technical University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
This year scholarships went to Courtney Cooper of Tracy City to attend Tennessee Tech, and Jon Day to attend Chattanooga State.
We wish them all the best in pursuing careers in their chosen field.

Club Receives Globe Award
Monteagle Rotary Club received the 44th Globe Club award this year. This award is for its contribution to a water project in Kenya through the Leamis Ministry. The club also supports an international exchange of ideas through their involvement in the Sewanee Music Festival. Club members provide transportation for international students and support the festival in several other ways. We have had two club programs dedicated to international understanding - one from Romania and one from China.
