English Shepherds

Below are two pictures of the new  livestock farmhand at Bold Venture Farms.    His name is "Panzer" (German for "tank, or armor"). We are excited about utilizing the qualities of the English Shepherd on our farm, because we feel that they offer the right combination of abilities best suited to our situation.  One breed will do the work of herding dog, livestock guardian, farm watchdog, and family companion.  

Panzer was born on November 25, 2007. He is settling in just fine in his new home.  He is about 2 1/2 months old in the two pics below.

This is Panzer at 8 months old.  He measures 24 inches at the shoulder, and weighs 58 pounds.  He is proving to be an excellent all around farm dog.
